British Racecourses has been named the winner of Excellence in Horse Racing Analysis 2026 at The European Awards. The award was accepted by co-founder Mark Dooley. Here is a look at the work that earned it.

Guides to all 59 British racecourses

The expert panel praised the detail of the site's racecourse guides above all. British Racecourses has a guide for every racecourse in England, Scotland and Wales, 59 in total, and it also covers racecourses in Ireland.

Each guide covers:

• The course's history, track layout, direction and surface
• Travel, parking and tickets
• Dress codes, facilities and hospitality
• Nearby hotels and local weather

The BRC team has visited every horse racing track in the UK and Ireland.

Fixtures, tips and statistics

The site keeps fixture lists for the full season up to date, checked against British Horseracing Authority data. Its in-house tipping team publishes daily selections, including Nap of the Day, Lucky 15, each-way, treble and outsider tips.

For punters who want to do their own homework, there are form guides, jockey and trainer form, draw bias analysis, speed ratings and lists of the best-backed horses.

Bookmaker comparisons

British Racecourses compares bookmakers licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. It looks at welcome bonuses, each-way terms, best odds guaranteed, extra places, payout speed and payment methods. The site does not feature offshore or non-GamStop operators.

The site is funded by affiliate partnerships with these licensed bookmakers. It says those relationships do not influence its reviews.

The verdict

The European Awards reports that British Racecourses won 68% of the total vote in the Sports Betting category. The jury said the site "stood out for the sheer depth and reliability of its horse racing analysis."

"We are truly honoured to receive this award," said Mark Dooley.
